Training Opportunities at Agape
First Aid with Adult, Child, Infant CPR, & Automated External Defibrillator Training gives employees the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Training
Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Training teaches employees to respond effectively to the warning signs that someone is beginning to lose control, but also addresses how employees can deal with their own stress, anxieties, and emotions when confronted with these challenging situations. The training focuses on preventing disruptive behavior by communicating with individuals respectfully and with concern for their well-being. The training teaches physical interventions only as a last resort—when an individual presents an imminent danger to self or others—and all physical interventions taught are designed to be non-harmful, noninvasive, and to maintain the individual’s dignity.
